National Training Week (NTW)
Role
Lead Designer responsible for campaign identity, art direction and multi-channel visual rollout, from print and merch to digital screens and event staging.
The Task
Learning belongs to everyone. That belief sits at the core of NTW, Malaysia’s largest free training initiative. For one week each year, thousands of training sessions open across the country. From community halls to urban campuses, all leading to a vibrant learning carnival filled with classes, career fairs, fun runs, live talks and performances.
Creative Direction
The focus was on building something that felt modern, hopeful and inclusive. A colour system of navy and turquoise grounded the brand, with subtle pink or purple touches added each year for a fresh rhythm. Real-life photography merged with AI-enhanced portraits in 2025 to reflect the campaign theme of learning beyond borders.
Visual Identity in Action
Posters, billboards, social ads, digital screens and merchandise were all designed with a unified visual system. Every piece was made to show up consistently across platforms, giving the campaign a strong and recognisable presence.
Where It Landed
From LED launch screens to finish line signage, each graphic reinforced the idea that learning is for everyone, everywhere. NTW became more than a campaign. It became a movement Malaysians could relate to, join in and remember.
Interactive Learning Carnival
The week’s highlight event brought everything to life in one place. Held as a learning carnival, it featured free workshops, live demos, stage performances, exhibitions and a community fun run. Visual elements were mapped across zones to guide and welcome participants, creating an experience that felt both energetic and approachable.
More Than Visuals
Designing for NTW was not just about visuals. It was about building trust in learning, one poster, one shirt, one screen at a time. A reminder that creativity works best when it helps people feel seen, invited and included.
